Bizarre. Did not meet my future prospective supervisor, nor teammates. No discussion of job title, projects; no specific job posting. I was part of a group. We were given two written tests: the first covered programming and computer languages, the second was pure math (story problems, logic, combinations and permutations, algebra). Both were multiple choice, but that doesn't mean easy. The test proctor (aka HR lady) told us not to worry too much about finishing, especially the math test - because we were not expected to finish it. This made me feel better - especially when time ran out on the math test.
In the second phase of the interview, the CEO himself spoke to us. He read us each our scores on the two written exams we had just taken (!) asked us a little about our background and then explained their hiring process a little.
Meritocracy + Your Score on Written Exams => Autocracy
Towards the end, he had us jot-down our salary expectation on the back of a sheet of paper. Actually, it was the back of the dossiers he had on each of us.
The one thing that was made clear: every group in the company meets every day at 8am.
