I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Oracle (Hyderābād) in Nov 2011
Interview
I had a phone screen by HR and one other peer Director over the phone before they invited me for a 1:1.
In the the 1:1, they asked me about my work till now and some HR type questions - whether i was willing to relocate from Bangalore to Hyderabad. They then scheduled a 2nd phone interview after the 1x1 and after the 2nd phone interview they called back to let me know that they had already filled the position
Have 4 rounds and mostly technical .. laat round focused on reasoning and general thinking ability . Mostly from high level design and low level design along with Data structure and debugging knowledge
The recruitment process was a labyrinthine affair, characterized by a multi-layered structure that stretched across a couple of months. Weeks would pass between leaving me in the dark. While the technical interviews were generally straightforward and objective, the process was further complicated by the inclusion of what appeared to be politically charged and psychologically probing interviews, albeit disguised under various euphemistic titles. These latter stages were subjective assessments, leaving me feeling vulnerable to the whims and biases of the interviewers. The lack of transparency and the prolonged periods of silence created a sense of unease, transforming what should have been an exciting opportunity in an established organization.

The process was very straightforward and took 4 weeks from beginning to end. Recruiter was extremely helpful and explained the process thoroughly. Spoke with several folks from the development team, and also the marketing team leads.
