Got a phone call from a recruiter and spoke for probably 10-15 minutes. Pretty basic conversation going over the job, pay and asking for questions. Received a call.rpughly a week later from a branch manager asking me to come in for an in-person interview. Went over the day to day of the job, what theor goals were and answered my questions.
There were 2 main problems with this process. The major one is the length of time it takes to get the ball rolling after the in-person interview. After receiving good feedback, I got a call from someone asking if I was still interested in the job, a week later. When I say "yes" they tell me background and drug test stuff will be sent to my email and if I have questions, reach out. That stuff took another week to come through and when I finished, I reached out with questions and got no reply. Still haven't received invitation for a drug screening either. The process just takes far too long to get going. After verbally being told over the phone I'd be getting an offer, I've heard nothing and I've yet to be given a drug screening. I had my in-person interview 6 weeks ago. Since then I've had staple opportunities pop up and I'm moving forward with those because this process is taking way to long to get going. I'm assuming even if I get an invite to take the drug screening, it'd probably take another 3 weeks to schedule it and get the results. If Orkin wants to bring people on, they need to improve this process. They are going to lose candidates.
