I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Orrick (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Typical law firm recruiting experience - I interviewed at the beginning of 2L year and summered, then got an offer at the beginning of 3L to come back full time as an associate.

Question 1
No behavioral questions (I interviewed in 2015) - pretty standard chit chat, I think a few people asked me what made me want to join Orrick but that was probably the only “standard” question I received. Biggest thing is to establish a good rapport with the interviewer and show them that you’re someone that they’d be down to work late nights with.
The interview contained several unnecessary questions that did not seem relevant to the position. Despite receiving positive feedback, the final outcome was a rejection for reasons that were vague and unexpected.

Describe a challenging legal issue you’ve handled.
one associate interviewed me and she was rude. she didn't seem prepared and she had a smug look on her face the entirety of the interview. It felt like it was rapid fire questions being thrown at me that she googled in the moment.
