Applied online and had employee referral. I got a call about a week later and participated in one phone interview so far. It was a very positive experience. I have a second interview soon.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PACCAR (Columbus, MS) in Aug 2013
Interview
Be ready for behavioral based questions. The interview is very much based on these types of questions. The interview took 7 hours and I wasn't offered water or taken out to lunch. I actually had to request a break. The HR department came across as extremely disorganized and in the 3 years I worked there... That was reality. I was told an offer was coming but it took 4-6 weeks to actually receive it. The interview process almost led me to reject it. Paccar in general has their own culture and way of doing things and if you don't like it.... Too bad. They are strict to rules. No leaving early or comp time for long hours. It's very much a Paccar comes before employees. Eventually a union will take advantage of their attitude.
