I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PENNYMAC (Moorpark, CA) in Oct 2023
Interview
First was an informational session about the track options. Then there was two rounds of interviews with the second being two back to back interviews. After that offers were given out.
I applied online. I interviewed at PENNYMAC in Oct 2024
Interview
30-minute Zoom call with an employee. Before the interview, there was an information session deck and an interview workshop that guided you through specifics of the program, and what they're expecting in the interviews. It was super helpful. Actual interview was pretty easy going, I had a good interviewer who immediately started on a more conversational note. He asked mainly general behavioral questions, going over my resume. Asked a bit about my coursework and which ways I had applied the skills listed on my resume.
1st round was mostly behavioral questions and the interviewer asking about my experiences and why I want to work at PennyMac. very nice interviewer. felt more like a conversation than an interview. have not yet done the 2nd round yet.
