I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Palantir Technologies (McLean, VA) in Jan 2013
Interview
The interview process consisted of a phone screen with a recruiter, a phone screen with an engineer, an onsite in VA, an follow up virtual coding interview with an engineer, and an onsite in CA.
The onsite in California was with one of the founders. The company no longer flies people to California solely for this interview, which is a good thing.
The on sites were a mix of Google/Facebook style programming questions, the occasional odd brain teaser, and some linux questions.
Overall I feel that the interview process doesn't accurately screen for candidates that are qualified to do the job the company wants them to do.
Applied on their website and then received an email from a recruiter to schedule a phone screening. I expected to be interviewed by the recruiter (the person who sent me the email) but instead was called by one of their engineers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me what was the hardest challenge I solved and then asked how SLAM works.
Had a chat with HR and then a technical interview with an engineer. They gave some some quite normal leatcode type questions that I had to answer to continue to the next steps.
I interviewed at Palantir Technologies (New York, NY)
Interview
I have so far completed the 20 minute recruiter call, which was an easy behavioral. They asked me what I'm looking for in a job and what I do at my current role.
