Palo Alto team reached out to me initially requesting I come in for a series of interviews. 1st round consisted of 90% soft questions (e.g. Why do you want to work here), 10% were of the nature of what would you do in this situation...2nd and final round with VP of Finance again* consisted of almost 90+ % non technical questions (e.g. Choose four words that you believe describe yourself). At no point did VP enable me to ask questions or discuss the role or business. Agreed that personality is a huge fit, but with no telltale one way or the other, confused with needs for the future candidate. In addition, Senior recruiter and lead followed up post interview promising a response by the following day, never to hear anything again. All-in-all, process consumed a good 3 weeks between phone screening to on-site. Positive feedback whole way through in addition to recruiting staff requested my constant interest level in the company as things progressed as well as other offers on the table. Maintained 100% transparency through all rounds until the end only to be left hanging with zero response from the PAN team. Great staff, however, I question the recruiting team. May consider reaching to CFO to clarify how not getting back to a candidate after promising feedback the next day is acceptable. Hard for candidates to recommend PAN to others if the treatment is poor at the end. Great business model and explosive group, questionable finance recruiting tactics though. Best of luck to the team despite the ordeal!
Still have not received feedback on any offer, yes or no to this day some months later.
