They ask a lot of questions to see how your mindset is. It is a tough interview going through multiple interviews and than training. In Illinois, I had to go through 3 interview before they had offered me the job.

What is the difference between a leader and a manager?
I had to interview 4 times with different managers and they drill you. Most of management are non-native English speakers. Honestly, the only thing they care about is how much you are willing to work.

I was contacted by a recruiter. Tried to sell on me on becoming a general manager/assistant manager. As for qualifications for becoming one or why they contacted me probably had to deal with that I had some restaurant background

you must pass a lot of interviews. GMs, ACOs RDO interviews. Then you will do a on site job training interview. Next you need to pass a background check, finally you will get a call after a week to finish paperwork.
