      Cashier/Store Associate Interview

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Virginia Beach, VA) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Applied online. Got a phone call a few days later to schedule and interview with Shift Supervisor. Arrived 10 minutes early, was given a free drink, and sat in the cafe. The interviewer finally came out about 15 minutes late. She was very dry, barely made eye contact, read straight from the paper. Typical interview questions. Finally toward the end of the interview she livened up a little & smiled. She asked my availability, told me where she thought I would be a good fit, and that she would put me on the afternoon lunch shift if that was ok. I said that was perfect with school! She smiles and invited me back for a second interview with a manager, which would pretty much be a shoe in and paper work! I left pretty excited. Came back the following week for second interview, he was about 10 or 15 mins late as well, but he was great and full of energy. We laughed, talked about music, and how we both were left handed. He then asked how what i my expected pay would be. I told him & great thats do able. That was the only actual question he asked besides "have i ever been convicted of any felonies, ect" which he said he was required to ask. After that he told me he would get his GM to sign off on things and he would give me a call no later that 7pm the same day. Never heard anything. Ended up calling the store over the next 2 weeks, only to be told they would get back to me when they were done with all interviews...still no call.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2014

      Interview

The interview process was incredibly easy. It was in a group format so it made it less nerve-wrecking. Everyone was super nice, I was in a group of almost 30 people and it was never a dull time. It took about two interviews for them to decide. Then there was a 1 on 1 session with two of the managers and they were great at the time. They liked to have fun and be well mannered.
