The GM at my location called me and we set up plans for an interview the following day at 4:00. My school gets out at 3:15 and we get to my house at 3:45. So I dropped my stuff off and then hurried to my interview. When I got there, I was told to sit down and wait. It was about 3:55. I continued waiting for the GM to show up for 30+ minutes. Workers there were pointing and laughing at me so I texted my mother and told her that if the GM didn’t show up by 4:40, then I was going to leave. The GM FINALLY showed up and he didn’t even apologize for his lateness. He laid slumped over the table and extremely close to my face, so it was a rather uncomfortable experience. He ended up offering me the job and I took it because I just wanted a job. Looking back now, the fact that the GM was 30 minutes late to my interview should’ve been my sign as to how bad it is working at Panera Bread.
