I applied online. Within a few days of applying, I was contacted by a recruiter to schedule my interview with the hiring manager. The interviewer was not only late, but also abrasive during the entirety of the interview. They referred to themselves personally as "aggressive" and not afraid to be outwardly mean to me or another analyst they'd hire if they did something incorrectly. The role that was described to me during the interview also did not match the job description - the job in reality was an administrative role that did not appear to value the research skills that were listed in the description to which I had applied. Needless to say, this was a red flag in my book and seemed like a toxic environment. I'm sure your experience largely depends on whichever department or position you interview with, but this experience has shown me that this isn't a place that I'd like to work.
