The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
I have interviewed with at least 10 different companies in my career. This was definitely my best experience. Very professional, fast, friendly, etc. I was very impressed by everyone I met. The questions were challenging and very well designed to measure the skills required for the job. I had an offer which paid more from another company, but the excellent interview experience had a big impact on my choice of accepting the PayPal offer.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA)
Interview
HR personnel passed on my schedule to multiple levels. The last lowest rank refused to send me the company address and meeting building until the day of the interview so I could make sure to accommodate for traffic. Two mature and experienced directors asked appropriate questions and respectful. Others either young or less educated but rose up in rank were fearful of their job due to impending reorganisation, impressed upon their seniority.

Question 1
One peer group manager in a different department tried to get free consulting advise by asking me questions on how to do his specific job and his specific product, not appropriate for the interviewing; again, impressing on their seniority seat, forgetting that the new organisation mandates new blood for innovation phase.
