I was asked to interview at the Boston location in early April, we set up a time for the end of April. A few days prior I received an email stating they had to postpone the interview because the hiring manager was "away". I accepted the postponed date and new time. Then shortly after received another email stating the interview had been postponed again, and that my interview would be in early May.
I interviewed on May 7th. The interview itself went well, everyone is very nice, the questions fairly easy and mainly focused on my personality. At the end of the interview I was told someone would reach out to me the following week. I ended up following up with them exactly 6 days later. I received a response 2 days later, stating that the position had been put on hold and that they would contact if the position opens up again.
Turns out, the position was filled, not put on hold. ( I have friends who work in the particular office in question, but did not mention to hiring manager that fact. )
Integrity should be on the forefront of any HR personnel's mind. And this HR employee clearly shows a lack there of. I hope this is not a reflection of the people who work at Paypal.
