First step was a phone call with a recruiter, to screen you and answer any quick and easy questions you have about the company/job responsibilities.
Second step was a WebEx interview with the hiring manager, or in-person if you’re in town. There may be 1-2 managers in this step. They ask behavioral questions (tell me a specific time when.....) so be prepared with a few situations. Make sure to “close” them at the end. I was given the next step at the end of the interview but if there are 2 managers they may want to discuss before moving you on.
Third step is a ride-along or “job immersion day”. The first few hours were spent with a rep on the team going to different clients/channels, essentially showing you what the job looks like. Second half of my day involved sitting in on a team meeting, and listening to telemarketing for a bit to get an understanding of that portion of the job.
The fourth portion of the job was the final interview with the Zone manager-the hiring manager’s boss. They are not the decision maker in the process, more like the final filter to catch any red flags. Basically if you get to this point just don’t screw it up. I’m my case, they combined this step with the immersion day and I just spoke with the zone manager on the phone at the end of the day, but I think typically it would be scheduled afterward assuming the immersion day goes well.
Final step would just be sit tight and wait for an offer! Always remember to “close” them after each step, and follow-up thank you email afterwards.
