I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paycom (Norman, OK) in Mar 2020
Interview
Very straightforward interview process.
Took about 2 weeks from application to offer.
First interview is with a recruiter, just goes over what the job will entail and a basic rundown of your resume.
Second interview is a multiple choice test of basic programming concepts and some language-specific questions.
Third interview is with a manager, goes in-depth over your resume and asks a programming question whichn you have 10 minutes to complete.
The final interview was similar to the third interview.
Overall this process was far better than any other interview process I've been through.
From the first step of the process, the HR recruiter is in contact with you and giving you updates almost daily.
Everything was fine. But during the tech part of the interview, I noticed the interviewer was very talkative. So I asked ahead of time if I could have 2 minutes to read and process the question before he offered any guidance. He only gave me about 20 seconds and kept interrupting my train of thought. It felt like a boss was standing over my shoulder talking the whole time. I got turned off by that. I let the time run out and ended the interview. Personally, would not apply again but others might not have the same experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Question about 'what is an abstract class' and some simple SQL questions about joins. Everything was pretty basic.

It was okay. In my case, the interviewer did not seem friendly at all and was hardly interacting. Even though I explained my entire thought process, he seemed to be distracted by other things lol.
