I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Dallas, TX) in May 2025
Interview
The process was very streamlined and well put together. From the time I was contacted about the position to the time of the in-person interview they kept me well informed of where we were at in the process. They were also very prompt in holding the interviews on-time and respected your time.

Applied, then was assigned some assessments to gauge various basic office skills and math. Had a good interview with the recruiter. Came in to the office with a manager that would not be over my team and was a last minute fill in.
After the interview I was told I was not a good fit for this role, but instead I should apply to a more sales oriented role. But I would have to start the process all over and work with a different recruiter.
So I resubmitted my resume and the very next day I was rejected without any reason. Such a waste of time.
I was really looking forward to the role and and I like this company.... just not a fan of the hand off process for the other role reccomendation.

I went through a phone screen and three assessments, which landed me an in-person interview with the hiring manager on the spot. During the interview process, I stated that while I was proficient at Excel (which was the entire premise of two of the assessments), I disliked the software. This ultimately disqualified me from the position.
