The interview process at Paycom was pretty structured and involved multiple rounds. It started with a quick screening call where they asked about my background and why I was interested in the role. Nothing too intense—just getting to know you.
After that, I was invited to take an Excel test, which covered formulas, data analysis, and general spreadsheet skills. Not super advanced, but definitely required some comfort with Excel. Then there was a Wonderlic-style test that combined personality questions and logic-based problems. It was more about how you think and work under pressure than about right or wrong answers.
Once those were completed, I moved on to more formal interviews, including with managers. These focused on behavioral questions and how I’d handle real-life work scenarios. They seemed really focused on whether you’d be a good fit for the team and the company culture.
We strive to create an engaging interview process that allows us to get to know our candidates and assess their skills and fit for the role. We’re pleased to see that this was your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share.
