The process was long, I interviewed with 4 different people via telephone over the course of a two months then there was about a two week period when I didn't hear anything. I was then told I need to come into the office for an in person interview. Because I was moving back to the city where the position is located and had not relocated yet, Paycor offered to fly me in for the interview. I then met with 2 managers and 2 consultants for a job shadow. Because I am an Implementation Consultant, most of what the interviewers stated was repetitive. They all asked me the same questions so I though the process was going well. I did not ask a lot of questions because my questions were specific to the software which I was not able to see. I asked a few question regarding their implementation process and it was answered. Other than that I cannot think of a reason I was not offered a position. Considering I interviewed with 4 people before Paycor offered to fly me in for an additional interview and shadow and I have the qualification for the position. So the reason for not being selected may not have anything to do with my actual experience, maybe appearance, although I saw several inappropriately dressed people while waiting in the lobby.
Overall I have to rate the experience negative. Mainly because the process was long, spoke with 7 different people. Considering my experience is implementing software for a company 11th on Forbes Fortune 500 with over 100 Billion in sales annually, I know how to implement a software solution. So when Paycor says they have "chosen candidates who appear to match their requirement more closely at this time", I have to wonder what requirements exactly do the candidates match more closely????
