I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Payless ShoeSource (Duluth, GA) in Mar 2010
Interview
I called asking about the job and they said that they were hiring. I had to keep calling back numerous times over the span of a couple weeks to stay on top of it because they took no initiative. I was called into the store and they asked me very basic interview questions like What does Payless mean to you, and If you saw a women come in with a bunch of kids how would you help her? Later they called me back and said i did well but I needed to go to a seconds interview at a different Payless store...it is standard procedure. It was basically the same exact thing and then I was offered a job the day of the 2nd interview.
I passed and started quickly. The process was simple and not intimidating. Everything felt straightforward, and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for an easy experience. I enjoy working here.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Payless ShoeSource (Anchorage, AK) in Aug 2025
Interview
Easy basic questions like job history, availability, and why you chose to interview.
Interview was less than 30 minutes and hired same day. They will almost always hire on the spot im a teenager and they still gave me a job.
