I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive (New York, NY) in Sep 2018
Interview
Had a very good call with the recruiter on-phone. She explained to me that the job is fun, exciting, and very smart group. 2 days later I received an email asking to come into the office and meet with the product design director. This part of the interview lasted for about an hour and went great. 2 hours later I received and email asking to complete a test task.
This typically takes 4 hours to complete, but you are asked to animate screens and annotate your design decisions. If the internal team "approves" your designs, you are then asked to come in and present your work to a group of 8.
2 weeks later I was asked to come into the office and present my UI to the VP, UX designer, engineers, product designers and product manager, Be prepared to get drilled. This is the true test. Be prepared to block out 4-5 hours because you will meet with the whole team.
After the 3rd interview that day, i was told directly that I did not get the position and that the other interviews were canceled. No feedback was provided. I then wrote an email asking for the feedback and how to improve, still no response. Truly disappointed after putting all this time and effort into this.
