I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Penn State (University Park, PA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Saw position posting online. Emailed Professor and was contacted next day to come in for an interview. Interview was very relaxed one on one interview with professor about the position, what my responsibilities would be, and what my background was.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
General questions about my interest in the position and career and educational goals for the future.
Zoom call with leader of project (undergraduate student). Discussion with PI to ask if there were any openings on his research team. Conversation on Zoom call was conversational and helped me learn more about the research rather than question my credentials.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Penn State (Reading, PA) in Aug 2019
Interview
There was no interview process. It was easy. No need to worry. Just ask for a job and they will give it to you. I am now only doing this for a word count.
