I applied online. I interviewed at Penumbra (Alameda, CA) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interviewers were very nice and asked very personalized questions from my resume. It was a lot less technical than other interviews I had and seemed more like a conversation about my background than a full on interview.

Question 1
I don't remember any specifics, but nearly every manager asked me to describe my experiences, then honed in on specific projects or roles to ensure that I had an excellent technical understanding of what I was working on. Overall, pretty laid back.

Screening phone call, then a call with the hiring manager, lastly a panel interview with several key stakeholders. All of these were virtual. They responded fairly quickly to my initial application.
