PepsiCo Process Lead interview questions

Process was quick but had to call and check on status of my interview. Interview was relatively easy and was related to JD provided and questions were basically around JD and Resume. Was disheartened when I called the HR to check on the status of my interview, she informed that the position is closed for external recruitment and shall be fulfilled internally with existing employee. This discouraged me a lot as I was looking forward for this opportunity and never expected this with a Fortune 500 company.
