      Plant Operation Management Trainee Interview

      Apr 7, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Milford, DE
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Perdue (Milford, DE) in Nov 2014

      Interview

I was invited to a second interview after my initial one on a college campus. Never heard back from them after the invitation for 2 months even though I followed up with them few weeks later. Then out of a blue, I got an email and they told me to drive to the plant 7 hours away. I was told in a written email that my travel will be reimbursted. I drove up there two days later missing my test for one of my classes. They have NINE other candidates to interview on that day for I don't know how many position open. The candidates rotate around and interview with 6 employees composed of managers and HR for half an hour each. The entire process took around 6 hours. I drove back on the same day and wrote a thank you email. And that was it. Never heard from them again. No reimburstment either. I emailed the HR lady twice since November (now is April) and even called another HR manager from another plant. She emailed the first HR lady and CCed me in the email, no response whatsoever. I usually refrain from leaving negative review about interviews since I understand that the food industry is pretty small and it might backfire me. But the communication department is absolutely horrendous. I was offered a position with another company a month after my interview with Perdue who took care of me from A through Z, quick response and offered me the position within 4 days of my second interview. This is what I look to work for, not a wishy washy nonresponsive chains of nonsense.
