The interview process was in four stages:
- standard HR check interview (30 mins)
- take home assignment
- 60-90mins review of take home assignment
- final interview with boss and team members.
Each stage convinced me further and further to join Perforce. The company from top to bottom is filled with excellent, passionate people who are positive and delightful.
Take home assignment was challenging, but gave you a chance to produce good, clean work. It is preferred in my experience to Leetcode-style assignments.
Code review and bug fixes/improvements to the take home was next. This was a good chance to see the team environment, how code reviews are tackled and if it is suited to you.
The final interview was an 80-20% blend of work history and technical questions. I found them quite open and easy to work with.
I was also impressed with the offer given and relative benefits at the company compared to other offers.
Overall, I would say the interview process was made simple, and the questions and tasks given were medium difficulty. I would recommend applying here as there was little stress in the application process.
