I had a very odd experience starting with the phone screening call. It's strange when a job posting lists "work authorization" as a minimum requirement, yet during the conversation, the recruiter repeatedly asks if I need sponsorship, even after I clearly stated that I don’t.
I believe it’s important for recruiters to have a more positive attitude and better knowledge regarding EADs, especially since this falls under the scope of HR responsibilities. Recruiters are the first point of contact and create the initial impression of the company, but in this case, the first impression was not positive at all.
