I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Pinterest (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
I was referred by an old coworker who currently works at Pinterest. A recruiter reached out to me, but it took about 2 months of emailing and leaving voicemails to set up a phone call. Most communication went unanswered.
The actual interview process consisted of a phone call with a recruiter, and then a phone call with one of the sales managers. Both calls went extremely well, and both individuals told me over the phone that they would like to bring me into the office to meet the team. The team then went dark again following these calls. After I followed up, I was sent a generic 'we've decided to not move forward' email with no specifics. My polite request for feedback was also ignored.
Keeping in line with what others have said here, the recruiting process at Pinterest is simply the worst I have ever encountered in my 10 years of AdTech sales. If its any indication of how they run the teams once you're onboard, I would suggest staying away.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your experience?
Have you used Pinterest before?
Professional but easy going. They asked a lot about my education and problem solving examples. They did not focus on my marketing background because they trained all there employees very well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me to sell them an item and tell them my pitch.
The interview process had 4 rounds. Three 30min interviews and one 30min sales pitch. All individuals I talked to were very nice and their questions were helpful for them and me to understand my fit.

Interview
I had a call with the recruiter and then a virtual onsite. The hiring manager showed up very late to the call and didn't seem that interested in the interview. I later gave a sales pitch to ~5-6 people who were messaging each other on Slack and giggling the whole time. I heard back months later that they weren't moving forward with no feedback.
