A recruiter at Pinterest reached out to me about an Android developer position on July 7th. We had a call where we went through my work history (8 years of Android in FAANG and others). On the 14th I got an email thanking me for the conversation, and outlining the rest of the interview process, which was akin to a full FAANG loop (5 hours of interviews). I was asked to pick some times for the interview. On the 20th I emailed back with a bunch of availability, and the next day I got an email saying they wouldn't be moving forward with the position. I asked for more information, given that I was just trying to set up the next round, but as of the 25th of July I haven't received an answer. I've seen reports of Pinterest having a hiring freeze, so I assume this was the reason.
