      Sales Position Interview

      Apr 14, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Saint Louis, MO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Pitney Bowes (Saint Louis, MO) in Apr 2020

      Interview

I withdrew from the interview process. I am a professional with decades of experience, yet I was talked down to by my HR contact in a failed attempt to "coach" me for the hiring manager interview. The questions were easy and none caused me pause, but as a candidate I find employer "projects" as part of the interview process to be insulting, demeaning and unnecessary when interviewing for a position that is not project based. If there is this much condescension and busy work just in the hiring process, I could only imagine how terrible the culture and this "leadership" must be. Definitely outdated and behind the times.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

typical situational questions - seemed overly concerned with knowing past sales numbers (quotas and percent to plan) over approaches to success and taking care of clients
