I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Pitney Bowes in Dec 2010
Interview
The interview process was dysfunctional and chaotic with no respect for the candidate's time and effort. It was hiring by consensus that involved multiple interviews. Had to constantly follow-up because things never happened when I was told. I essentially had to manage the process.
The interviews were generally scripted questions that were for the most part useless in selecting the right candidate. I got the impression that they would hire without a face-to-face, which is idiotic. All of the people that I spoke to were long time employees who nearly all made a point of talking about what a decent, respectful and moral company Pitney Bowes was, which is not true. Was asked to create and deliver a presentation based on a fictitious case study, which was really not fictitious at all.
Went through their whole interview process with very positive feedback, then nothing for weeks. They ended it with a form email rejection letter, which was very insulting given the respect and effort I had put into it.

Question 1
If you found out after the fact that sales had sold a solution to a customer that was not right for them, what would you do?
Getting in touch was super easy and communication was great. They were continuously responding and providing updates. The interviews itself included 2 interviews with managers. They were very nice and straighforward. It included technical questions.

Interview
Received email to schedule a phone interview with the recruiter. Lasted 15 minutes and felt positive. Interview with the hiring manager that went really well. Recruiter called me a week and a half later saying he was having trouble finding a time with the hiring manager's manager but he was trying. Reached out to the recruiter with no reply and haven't heard a word.
Phone Interviews with 5 different individuals at different days and times. Recruiter, senior BA, Director,, 2 other directors in completely different departments, and finally an HR person. Was told I would hear something the following Monday “for sure”. Monday passed, then Tuesday, Then Wednesday. Recruiter texted at 8:30am saying he would call and then called at 7pm to tell me they had finished interviewing others and would call for sure tomorrow. Nothing for the next week. Finally called two Mondays later and left a VM just asking me to call back. I call, no answer so I left a message. That was a week ago. Texted the recruiter again... no response. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
