I applied online. I interviewed at Podium in Oct 2024
Interview
I went through a 15-minute call and then a 50-minute interview for a Sales Development Rep role at Podium. He even told me I’d hear back “ASAP” and that “it’s a quick process, we don’t like to string people along.” Then… total radio silence. I followed up with both of them, and nothing. For a company that’s all about tech, it’s honestly ridiculous that they couldn’t even send a quick rejection email. Kind of ironic for an AI communications company not bother with basic communication. If they treat candidates like this, it doesn’t give me much confidence in how they handle their own clients or team. Judging by their Glassdoor, not very well🙂.

Question 1
“You’ll hear back from us ASAP. We don’t like to string people along”
Pretty straightforward, one interview with would be manager speaking about past experiences and general skills, then interview with VP of sales detailing company operating procedures. Very lenient interview process and nothing too strenuous
I had one interview and then they ghosted me despite me reaching out a few different times. They could be better about telling me no instead of nothing. It would leave a better taste in my mouth if I ever decided to apply again.

Interview
HR was just screening through applicants as if she just needs to quickly pick someone to fill the role and she does not listen to what you have to say when she speaks to you. Conversation was not pleasant at all, with a take it or leave it attitude.

basic sales/BD experience questions and expectation that you will just be in the office making 60 calls a day.
