Portland General Electric interview questions

I had a really positive experience with the interview process at Portland General Electric. I applied on 4/1 and, to my surprise, the process moved very quickly—I had my in-person interview and received a job offer the same day, (pending standard contingencies like background check and drug screening). Less than a week for the process. In a time where most hiring processes feel long and drawn out, this was the complete opposite. Everything was smooth, well-organized, and communicated clearly throughout. The recruiter was very informative and responsive, which made the process feel a lot less stressful. One thing I really appreciated was that they provided a list of potential interview questions ahead of time. That helped me feel prepared and gave me a better sense of what to expect going in. Overall, the interview itself felt very fair and straightforward. It was clear they were looking to understand your experience and how you approach different situations, rather than trying to catch you off guard. It was a refreshing experience, and I really appreciated how efficient and thoughtful the entire process was.

The overall process lasted about two months from application to job offer. The interview process consisted of three rounds. The first interview was 30 minutes long and general in nature with an internal recruiter for the company. The second round was an hour long technical interview, which covered a variety of skills related to the position. The last interview was an hour long with the hiring manager and a chief executive of the company. Questions in this interview consisted of clarification of background and behavioral questions. I applaud the interviewers for their professionalism and happy demeanor.
