I applied online. I interviewed at Procore Technologies
Interview
I applied through Procore's website. I was already familiar with the company and super excited about a position opening up that seemed like it couldn't have been a better fit based on my experience. I heard from a recruiter right away and scheduled an initial phone screen. They had asked my availability for the upcoming weeks at the end of the call and let me know they should be in touch within a week. A week goes by, nothing. I reached out again and was told they were running about a week behind and but they would keep me posted. Another 10 days goes by with no updates, so I reach out again and the recruiter responded saying they really enjoyed our conversation but they were focusing on another candidate. I assumed they were going internal since I was never given a chance to speak to a hiring manager even though my interview had apparently gone quite well. 3 hours after receiving this update, l got another email from the recruiter saying there may be a second position open and they were going to bring my name back up. I responded excitedly and asked when they'd have more information, but haven't heard anything else in the last 12 days. Meanwhile, the job posting is still open on LinkedIn. As a hopeful candidate, it's important for me to feel like I am being kept in the loop and not wasting my time. I understand recruiters are busy people, but to be strung along like this seemed pretty unprofessional and mostly just disappointing.
