I applied for Progressive and received an email to complete the assessment the next day. 3 days later I received an invite to complete the video interview through HireVue where I was asked 8 behavioral questions which consisted of the same questions others have posted so it was nothing too difficult. I will add that I actually messed up on one the questions and said something along the lines of *Yeah that was stupid* bol then to make it worse, I couldnt re-record so that response got sent. Talk about a huge Yikes!!!!! I literally have no idea how I got moved forward to the final round of interviews. Anywho, During my final interview, I wasn’t asked any of the questions I had prepared for so I definitely felt like a deer in the headlights but managed to get through the questions using the STAR method and relating my past work experience to the questions as much as possible. After a few days, I got a call from a recruiter saying I wasn’t selected for the medical claims position due to it filling up faster than what they anticipated but they offered to keep me on the frontline for a regular claims trainee position if I was interested. 2 days later, I received a call stating they got approved to start hiring for new claims adjusters and if I wanted the position.. it’s mine. I said yes and received my offer letter same day.
The interview is not hard as long as you stick to the STAR method and use REAL past experience to answer the questions. There are ALOT of sore losers on here complaining about not getting the job despite feeling like did great in the interview but obviously didn’t interview as good as they think they did. Don’t let those negative Nancy’s discourage you from applying. It’s really not as difficult as people are making it seem.
