Interview
My first interview was with the HR Project Manager, the Program Manager (PMO Operations) who was my direct supervisor and the Project Manager responsible for my project (Physician Engagement).
Questions asked:
1) Tell us something about yourself?
2) Are you familiar with the organization mission and how do you feel it aligns with you?
3) How has positive attitude helped you deal with stresfull situations at work?
4) Give us an example of a difficult situation involving a physician and how you dealt with it
5) Are you comfortable working in a fast pace environment?
6) Deployments happen at different locations at different times, how do you feel about travel for 3-6 weeks at a time?
7) You show involvement with PMI over the past couple of years. What attracted you to Project Management? Is this your career goal for the future?
8) Do you have any questions for us?
A week later I had an interview with the project coordinator currently on the team, whose job description was very similar to mine, and the team wanted to make sure we got along. That interview was more of an informal conversation in which I got asked:
1) What was the reasoning behind my change of industries? (I knew her background was in marketing - from her Linkedin profile, so I responded the question as "trying to re-brand myself from scientist to a Project Manager)
2) Can I handle a lot of rain (job was in Seattle)
