They interviewed me twice (an hour-long conversation each), told me I could make a great candidate for the position, then sent me an automated offer letter, only to be told later on that I actually wasn't given an offer. It was a mistake and sent by accident.
Sometime later they sent me a fairly basic skills SQL test, and then after a week of radio silence I received an automated rejection email without explanation. I emailed the hiring manager to find out why, and I was told they found a candidate with more advanced SQL skills. I find this odd, since my last position was nothing but advanced SQL day in and day out as a developer/engineer. I was then told I would probably be better off in a BI position than a data analytics, even though I specifically said I would rather have an analytics position, and its odd considering my last position was a blend of data analytics and business intelligence development, and I have certification in data engineering, data science and data analytics.
I just find it strange considering my last position was probably technically more challenging (with a technical SQL interview test that was MUCH harder I might add), and yet they still hired me despite having much less experience than what I have now (and it was a healthcare company as well) but somehow I am not qualified for this position!
