      Senior ML Engineer Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Providence

      Interview

6 technical rounds, 2 of them mostly discussions, 1 recommendation system design, 3 coding. 5 interviewers were nice and decent, but one of them was quite negative and concerning. That particular interviewer had a big ego, showed micro-aggression, looked down at me, cut me off on multiple occasions, asked multiple leetcode style questions without clear description of the problem, and had communication issues. He was constantly trying to make the questions tricky as if we are in high school. A big red flag to me, marking a potential toxic work environment.

      Question 1

Design a caching mechanism. Design a recommendation system for an e-commerce platform, find the intersection of two linked lists, find the common users in two log files, etc.
