I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) in Feb 2010
Interview
This is an intense process. You have a two on one interview, usually with a current RA and an administrator. If they like you, then you go to a group interview where they make you do activities and they see how well you play with others. Finally there is a draft where the halls all get together and choose who they want on their staff.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) in Nov 2016
Interview
There were two individual interviews and one group interview. The individual interviews were basic interview questions pertaining to relationship building and leadership skills. The group interview was actually pretty fun and entertaining. It involved plenty of teamwork, make sure to provide some input in the activities.
