The process took over 5 weeks. First I was asked to provide some sample work. I spent hours creating these samples. I then spent the next 4 weeks interviewing with a total of 5 people. The first 3 interviews went well. The interviewers were engaging, and had "real conversations" explaining the role, the company and how they work. The second two interviewers were not engaging and clearly working off of a script with questions like "tell me about a time", "can you give me an example". These are red flags. If someone has to work off of a script for an interview, they probably lack good communication skills as a co-worker/manager.
I was told a decision would be made the following week. A week passed without any communication. Another week passes and still nothing. It was disappointing and unprofessional to have put in all of that time and work to not be given the courtesy of even a "turn down".
