      QA Automation Engineer Interview

      Jul 27, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Mumbai
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at QAD (Mumbai)

      Interview

I was lured into a sham of an interview process for the Graduate trainee,QA Automation Engineer role at QAD, Mumbai, a three-stage farce consisting of screening, technical, and hiring manager rounds. After jumping through their hoops and clearing the screening and technical rounds on June 8, 2023, I was hauled into the hiring manager round on June 14. Post-interview, I chased the HR for feedback, and she casually assured me that there were no negative remarks about my performance and promised to update me the next day. When the promised update turned out to be a mirage, I was compelled to send my first follow-up email on June 19, 2023, expressing my continued interest in the role and seeking updates about the next steps. The company offered a meaningless apology for the delay and made an empty promise to update me soon. On June 20, 2023, I voiced my concerns about the delay in feedback and asked for transparency if other candidates were being considered. The company offered platitudes of empathy and assured me that there was no negative feedback about my candidature. They also mentioned multiple openings for the position and made another hollow promise of an update by the end of the day. Despite their promise, I was left stranded with no update, leading me to reach out again on June 21, 2023, but was met with a wall of silence. After waiting for nearly three weeks without any update, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the company's abysmal lack of communication. I insisted on immediate information about my application status and expressed disappointment with the company's lack of initiative in communicating any additional steps or information required. The company finally responded by informing me that my application was put on hold until they interviewed more candidates for the position, acknowledging the long wait and offering a pitiful apology for the inconvenience caused. To all potential candidates considering applying for a role at this company, consider this a red flag. This company's handling of the hiring process is a masterclass in deception and disrespect. Their lack of timely feedback, transparency, and basic professional courtesy is a blatant slap in the face to a candidate's time and effort. Think twice before you step into this trap.
