Interviewer reached out to me on LinkedIn. After the conversation, there was a technical exam that I was asked to spend an hour on, covered thermal cooling of electronic modules, DFM, general design questions.
There was a 45 min Microsoft teams meeting set up with the manager, but the manager never showed up 25 mins into the call. I texted the recruiter to ask her to reschedule. At this point, I got a phone call from the manager and he asked me 5 hurried and half baked questions.
Next, got an email from the recruiter with some BS questions asking how the job aligns with my career goals etc and also my design portfolio. I was told I'd be contacted soon with next steps.
Next week, I get a panel interview email round invite email and also a rejection email from the recruiter 5 mins apart. I sent my availability for the next round at which she said the position has been put on hold for now due to changing business needs. Obviously a lie because the position was reposted on LinkedIn the next day.
Quite unprofessional on every level.
