I was made aware of the position through a friend of mine who is already at Quantcast. I was impressed and enthusiastic about the position after hearing about the company, their technology and the amount of growth they're experiencing.
The interview process overall was great. I had a brief phone interview w/ a recruiter, and then invited in to talk to some of the core people I'd be working with. One of the concerns I had was that, given all the smart folks there as well as their recent success, that there would be an arrogance problem. This fear was quickly dispelled - I found the people to be genuinely nice, while at the same time incredible smart, focused and committed to success. And, mind you, many of these were sales people who aren't always labeled as "smart" and "nice."
I quickly got the sense that this is an "adult startup" with very sophisticated people who are very professional, and open to input and feedback about how to get better.
After hearing more about their approach, how much they invest in training and support for their employees, and what else is "under the hood" in terms of technology, I was quickly sold.
