Process: Recruiter screen, take-home assignment, HM technical interview, VP interview, CEO interview.
Friendly people. Fun take-home assignment. Seems like a great product.
Disorganized interview process (examples below):
- I successfully completed what I believed to be the technical interview with the Hiring Manager, only to discover later that the actual Hiring Manager was on PTO. As a result, I had to repeat the interview with the actual Hiring Manager upon their return.
- The interview with the VP comprised mostly of an extended conversation about sports, and only in the final 5-10 minutes did they address any concerns regarding my fit for the role. I was not given adequate time to respond to their concerns and was told to communicate via email instead.
- In the middle of the process, my recruiter was let go due to layoffs, and I was assigned to a replacement who could not answer my follow-up questions completely. Furthermore, this replacement incorrectly scheduled my remaining interviews in the wrong time zone.
- Lastly, I was informed that the next step would be an interview with the CEO, only to be told later that the company was undergoing changes and the specific nature of the role led them to decide not to proceed further. I was assured that this decision was not a reflection of my capabilities.
