Only one face interview. It's a team manager from the department that does the interview! it last about 45 minute long. Super easy interview, they just want to see if you know the basics from investments. What is a RSP, RESP, TFSA...the limits, conditions etc. If not what are your ambitions and everything.

      Anonymous employee
      Mississauga, ON

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RBC (Mississauga, ON) in May 2012

      Interview

Very hard to get hired as an Investment Representative from outside the bank. Must come from internal application. After posting comes out, one must send a resume AND cover letter. When you are selected for the interview, be prepared to talk about what you like about investments and where you hope your career takes you. You must have completed either the IFiC or CSC. Be charismatic, you're selling yourself for selling to others; you must be personable.
