Received a response in a day from the recruiter stating he was impressed with my background and felt I was a strong fit for the role.
Second round met with the direct hiring manager. a guy that was not humble whatsoever, very militant, and tried to act like a tough drill instructor.
Look man its a tough industry, this isn't easy work... most likely the person who accepts the position will be working over 50+ hours a week, peak season will be more...
Left me with a poor first impression.
I wasn't desperate for a position either but after meeting with him i turned down the opportunity.
Here's a tip for upper management: be humble, get to know the candidate, ask questions about how they manage teams, and LISTEN to their responses and success stories instead of just trying to act like that "wrench" during the interview process just to make it a difficult experience.
I was turned off and turned down the next interview.
Best of luck
