I sent my resume to a friend who forwarded it to a recruiter. The recruiter contacted me 2 weeks before Christmas saying they would like to link up after the holidays to discuss opportunities. I had to follow up multiple times in order to coordinate the initial phone interview. I phone interviewed with the recruiter and was then passed along to an Area Manager a week later. I was then invited to do a working interview at a location approximately 2 hours from where I live. The working interview was informative. At the end of the "shift" the Area Manager met with me, however she didn't talk much. She just asked me if I had questions and gave off a very uninterested vibe. I asked if there were any concerns with moving forward with me and she said "the amount of time I have worked in the industry". Funny because that is something that could be determined by the resume, not having someone drive up. That was fine, the big issue for me came when the recruiter decided to stop responding to follow up emails after he told me to hang tight and they would have an answer within weeks. No professionalism whatsoever in the end process, no answers or responses to emails, nothing. I withdrew myself from the process, became uninterested.
