I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Rakuten (Sai Wan) in Dec 2020
Interview
I applied from Russia. Process was too long(about 2 months). I answered on all technical questions. After was interview with manager. It was pretty nice. Nevertheless the declined my position. Because they had too much candidates who had larger experience (about 30 peoples) and only 3 places. Probably, they should to decline on the first steps candidates who have weaker professional skills. So It was just a waste of my time.

Question 1
What is hashcode?
Technologies in which I interested
Like most Japanese companies, the interview questions were mainly about personal experiences, followed by in-depth digging into those experiences, with few technical questions. It seems they value a person's potential more than their current abilities.
