30 minute phone screen with recruiter, 30 minute phone screen with hiring manager, 3 hour on site interview split up into 30 min segments with 6 different people.
The whole process was pretty standard, and everyone I spoke with was very nice. At the end the recruiter called and said that the feedback was very positive and everyone thought I'd be a great fit culturally, but they were not ready to move forward because the team wasn't clear on how a project manager would fit in with the team. They said they'd be working to get a more concrete job description but would like to keep in touch.
I found the decision strange - would be better to not have candidates come in and devote that much time to an interview process if the team and company isn't clear on the job description or if they actually need someone in that role.
