The initial phone interview took place in November only a few days after applying which I was impressed with. However, post-interview I did not hear back from the interviewer despite being told I would in 5-10 days. A second person from the company rang me and explained that the initial interviewer had left the company and she would pick up the process. This involved another phone screening where I went through my CV and various questions around the STAR method, based on this I was recommended for video interviews. This involved two separate interviews on the same day of 30 min duration each. Both interviews asked me questions about knowledge of the industry, the use of SOPs, processing procedures and various lab techniques I could be using in addition to how I resolved some situations in the past. The people interviewing me where very pleasant and put me at ease from the start of the interview so I could relax and give a good account of myself. Following the interviews, I was told they would be in touch regardless of being successful or not. I received a phone call the following day and was told I would be offered the position which I was over the moon about. I then had to go for a medical for the job and provide background information for their own checks. This took a few weeks as I was unfortunate to have to isolate so the process would have been quicker. I then received a contract offer the week after my medical and was very pleased. The process from to start to finish was efficient and the HR person I dealt with was brilliant and really helpful via phone and e-mail.
